Another round of shots from Kink.com‘s Armory, this time in the bar used for parties and Public Disgrace, the basement bathroom, and the prop storage area where some of the Fucking Machines were being stored while they were working on that studio. Fuckzilla looks pretty impressive in person, although I didn’t get to see him in action.
Show Cave (one of my favorite LA venues) had an opening for the 777 Tonetta art show last night, including a performance of Tonetta songs by the Growlers. Tonetta’s two LPs and 7″ are available from Black Tent Press. Photos and video from the event below.
I’d asked my man Michael Dresden (AKA Amongst) to make a mix for the site some time ago, since his tastes range across damn near everything and a little bit more. He’s been making music in isolation since the 80s and I’ll be shedding light on some of that material later this year. But for this he picked some of his favorites, and it hits a totally weird zone starting off with one of my favorite Vangelis pieces. Check it out.
You can download the mix HERE or click the play button to listen now.
After a long silence, we’re back with some new photos. In January I went up to SF to see some old friends and play a show with Acre, Forked and Sutekh Hexen. My good friend Sarah B set up a private tour of the Armory in SF, now owned by Peter Acworth’s Kink.com who has turned the formerly disused building into a beautiful 4-story fetish pornography studio.
These photos are from the “dirty shower” and “clean shower” areas, as well as the Device Bondage studio. More to come soon.
